Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and billing information when you sign up for Wovio. We also automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the Service, including IP addresses, browser type, and usage data.
2. Google Data We Access
Wovio connects to your Google account through OAuth to read how your site performs in search. With read-only Search Console access we read clicks, impressions, average position, and the associated queries and pages. With read-only Google Analytics access we read aggregated traffic metrics: sessions, users, and landing pages. We never request or access your email, Drive files, contacts, or calendar.
3. Write Permissions and When We Ask
If you do not yet have a Search Console or Analytics property for your site, Wovio can create and verify one for you. Those write permissions (Search Console management, site verification, and Analytics editing) are requested on a separate screen, only if you accept that help, and are used solely to create the property for your own site, verify that you own it, submit your sitemap, and create the web data stream. If your properties are already set up, you are never asked for them.
4. How We Use Google Data
Only to show your search performance in your dashboard, to let the engine decide which improvement will have the greatest impact on your site, and to measure whether that improvement worked. We do not use data obtained from Google APIs to train artificial intelligence models, for advertising, for profiling, and we do not combine it with other customers' data.
5. Limited Use (Google API Services User Data Policy)
Wovio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Storage and Retention
Your Google access token is stored encrypted at rest and isolated per customer; only the engine decrypts it to query your data. Metrics retrieved from Google are stored against your site so we can chart your progress over time. When you close your account we delete your credentials immediately and your metrics within 30 days.
7. Revoking Access
You can disconnect Google from your dashboard at any time, or revoke the permission directly on your Google account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Once revoked, Wovio immediately loses the ability to read your data; metrics already stored are deleted if you also close your account.
8. Bing and Cloudflare Data
If you connect Bing Webmaster Tools, we store, encrypted, the read-only permission you authorize with your Bing account (or, if you prefer, the API key you generate there) and read your site's clicks, impressions and queries. If you use the Wovio plugin, it counts on your own site how many times per day known AI bots requested it, keeping the bot's source address to check it is who it claims to be; only bots are recorded, never visitors, and that record is deleted after 45 days. If you connect Cloudflare, we store, encrypted, an API token limited to reading your zone and its analytics, and read how many requests per day verified bots made to your site and which category they belong to; we do not read human traffic or visitors' IP addresses. Both connections are optional, can be removed from your dashboard at any time, and removing them deletes the key or token immediately.
9. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data or your Google, Bing or Cloudflare data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers required to operate the Service, under contractual confidentiality obligations, and where the law requires us to.
10. Generated Content and Your CMS
Content Wovio generates and publishes to your site stays private to your account. We do not use your articles or your CMS content to train our base models.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. You can manage most of your data from your dashboard, or write to us for the rest.
12. Security
We encrypt data in transit and credentials at rest, and limit access to the processes that need them. No system is infallible, and we will notify you if an incident affects your data.
13. Contact Us
